For performance riders, this means you can bang off upshifts and downshifts without ever backing out of the throttle or touching the clutch lever. If you’ve never ridden a bike with a clutch, the Hornet’s E-Clutch makes it easier than ever, and eliminates any worry about stalling or clutch manipulation. Frankly, it’s so good that we bet even experienced riders are going to quit messing with that lever on the left handlebar, although if you want to all the traditional clutch functions are still there. Having your cake and eating it too—welcome to the hive!

OPEN RIDING POSITION: Opening up the rider triangle lets you sit up a little straighter, which gives you a higher vantage point than hardcore sportbikes. Plus, most riders will find it a bit more comfortable, too.

Engineering

LEAN, LIGHT, STRONG: Weighing a mere 422 pounds, this bike earns its welterweight champion status. A lean 750 twin, devoid of excess, you get maximum performance, agility, and sheer enjoyment.
GEAR-DRIVEN COUNTERBALANCER: Our counterbalancer design drives directly off the crank’s primary gear, eliminating the need for an additional gear. This reduces weight and complexity, resulting in a more efficient and compact engine design.

Handling

POWERFUL BRAKES: Large dual radial-mount four-piston Nissin front calipers bite 296mm floating rotors, while the rear caliper squeezes a 240mm rear rotor, the combination providing massive stopping power.
TOP-TIER SUSPENSION: Up front, a 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted fork gives you premium sportbike handling.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES: Front and rear ABS are standard, which keeps braking even more under control, especially in adverse conditions.

Performance

755CC TWIN-CYLINDER ENGINE: The engine is based on the Honda Hornet from Europe. It’s a narrow parallel-twin design that delivers torque throughout the rev range. More power on low revs, easy cruising on the open road.
VORTEX AIR INTAKE: By speeding up intake-charge airspeed at the critical low- and mid-engine speeds from 3000 to 8000 rpm, you get better throttle response and acceleration.
UNICAM® ENGINE DESIGN: Our Honda-exclusive Unicam® engine design, just like our Africa Twin, CRF450R and Transalp, provides a compact cylinder head for optimal engine placement and superior performance. It’s the perfect combination of form and function.
HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION: The engine has a high-pressure fuel injection system pressurized to 65 PSI, enhancing combustion and throttle characteristics for better throttle response in technical terrain at lower and mid-rpm ranges.
TWO-INTO-ONE EXHAUST: The exhaust system can make a critical difference in power, and this two-into-one is light, offers excellent ground clearance, and sounds awesome.
HONDA SELECTABLE TORQUE CONTROL: A great system that combines its old-school raw horsepower with a modern power delivery. HSTC keeps the bike hooked up and the power flowing under a wide variety of surface conditions.
HONDA E-CLUTCH: Honda’s E-Clutch is the best of both worlds. First, it lets you shift with your left foot without needing the handlebar-mounted clutch. Second, you can still use it as a conventional clutch, but it also acts as a quick-shifter, enabling clutchless, full-throttle gear changes up and down for riders who crave performance.
270-DEGREE-PHASE CRANK: Phasing this bike’s crank at 270 degrees gives you a unique, smooth power delivery that’s easy to modulate, especially on road surfaces where traction is challenging.
SPECIAL GEARING: We fit the close-ratio six-speed transmission with gearing designed to emphasize the bike’s awesome acceleration. Crack the throttle and you’ll feel it instantly.

Technology

FIVE-INCH TFT INSTRUMENT DISPLAY: The big, bright, five-inch TFT (Thin Film Transistor) display gives you a choice of six display settings with all the information you’ll need while riding, and also interfaces with Honda RoadSync, letting you link your phone with your bike.
THROTTLE BY WIRE AND FIVE RIDE MODES: Using our throttle by wire system, we’ve given this bike five riding modes (Standard, Sport, Rain and two rider-programmable User modes). The User modes let you choose between three parameters, and then save the settings.
HONDA ROADSYNC: Our Honda RoadSync app comes as standard equipment. With it you can also display music, phone and navigation functions on the five-inch instrument screen, as well as use navigation apps through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
