Common questions

Two-stroke or four-stroke?

Two-strokes are lighter, simpler and cheaper to rebuild, with a hard-hitting powerband. Four-strokes deliver smoother, more tractable power. Plenty of riders choose a two-stroke because they’re fun and inexpensive to maintain.

Can the YZ250 be ridden on the street?

No. It’s built for off-road use only, with no lights, mirrors or street certification. Plan on private land, a track or a designated off-road area, and a helmet and proper riding gear every time.
